American automobile executive Lido Anthony Iacocca AKA Lee Iacocca died on Tuesday, 2^nd July 2019, in his Bel-Air California house. He was 94 years old. He had become one of the most influential figures in the automobile industry.

Lee’s family spokesperson confirmed that he died from complications from Parkinson’s disease. However, the Iacocca foundation representatives and his daughters Kathryn and Lia have not responded on it.

The Pennsylvania native Lee was born Lido Anthony Iacocca on 15^th October 1924. He attended Lehigh University before earning his Master’s in Engineering at Princeton University in 1946.

After graduation, Lee grabbed a job at Ford Motor Company where he was praised for his personable nature and drive. During that time, he also met Mary McCleary with whom he married after dating for eight years in 1956.

Lee worked hard undertaking the 1964 production of the Mustang earning him “Father of the Mustang” nickname and was named as the president of Ford in 1970. He partnered with Chrysler, and nine years later, he was named CEO.

Lee saved the car company that narrowly dodge bankruptcy by appealing to the federal government for aid. He then paid off the government seven years at the profit of $350 million.

Lee became a household name by appearing in the company’s television commercials where he delivered his famous catchphrase of “If you can find a better car, buy it.”
