American actress, dancer, and singer who worked in Hollywood and on Broadway has pa s sed away on May 5, 2019, Sunday from natural causes in Hollywood. She was 97 years old. Family spokesman David Van Deusen confirmed her death.

Barbara, who was born on June 22, 1921, started her professional career in 1933 appearing in Counsellor at Law. Two years later, she had a small part in mystery drama-movie The Mystery of Edwin Drood.

Barbara was Eddie Foy Jr.’s dancing partner in Rumple in 1957. The production starred Stephen Dougla s s, Gretchen Wyler, and a young Elliott Gould. In 1950, she appeared in Broadway production of Happy as Larry.

In the mid -50s to early -60s, Barbara went to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.

After returning, Barbara got a chance to appear in a popular television cla s sic The Dick Van Dyke Show appearing Buddy Sorrell’s wife Pickles.

Besides this, she appeared in numerous television series and movies like The Donna Reed Show, My Three Sons, Newhart, The Hathaways, Father of the Bride, Mr. Woodc* * k, Just Write, and many others.

Barbara was also a writer and performed the award-winning one-woman show Pa s sionate Ladies.

Her last appearance was in CBS’ How I Met Your Mother and FX’s Baskets.

Barbara was married twice. She was first married to Bennett Warren from 1953 to 1965 and then married to animator Art Babbitt. She was the widow of Babbitt.
