LPGA is an American organization for female professional golfers which stand for the Ladies Professional Golf Association. It was founded in the year 1950. The head quarter of the organization is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. LPGA is known for its running LPGA Tour. LPGA Tour is a series of weekly golf tournaments for the female golfers around the world that runs from February to December each year. The major annual championships are 1) Kraft Nabisco Championship 2) Wegmans LPGA Championship 3)U.S Women’s Open 4) Ricoh Women’s British Open and 5) The Evian Championship. The LPGA Tour presents Rolex Player of the Year award, The Vare Trophy and The Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year award depending upon the player’s performance. The championship holds the prize money for the winners along with the awards.
