Galatasaray

Galatasaray is a Turkish professional football club having the full name Galatasaray Spor Kulubu. It was founded about 108 years ago in the year 1905 October 30 as Galata-Serai Football Club. It has its home ground based in Istanbul, Turkey as Turk Telekom Arena having the capacity of 52,652 audiences. The club is managed by Cesare Prandelli and the president of the club is Unal Aysal. The club plays in rhe Super Lig League. Galatasaray is one of the most successful football clubs in Turkey. It has won 49 domestic trophies including 19 Super Lig titles, 15 Turkish Cups and 13 Turkish Super Cups.  Besides, it has also won the 2000 UEFA Cupa and UEFA Super Cup. Galatasaray is the association football branch of the larger Galatasaray Sports Club and a part of Galatasaray Community including Galatasaray University and Galatasaray High School. The club has long standing rivalry with Turkish clubs Besiktas and Fenerbahce. The club shirt is sponsored by Turk Telekom and sponsored by Nike.
