Cesar Award
Cesar Award is the French national film award which is awarded for the achievements in the French cinema. The Award is presented by the Academia des arts et techniques du cinema since the year 1976. The name of the award came from sculptor Cesar Baldaccini. The award is supported by the French Ministry of Culture and the award ceremony takes place in Theatre du Chateket in Paris each February. Cesar Award is the considered as the highest honor in the French Cinema industry. There has been 39 Cesar Awards given so far. The last Cesar Awards were presented on 28 February 2014. The award is given based on voting systems. The Cesar awards categories are; Cesar Award from the best Film, Best Debut, Best Film from European Union, Best Director, Best ACTOR., Best Supporting Actor, Most Promising Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress, Most Promising Actress, Best Foreign Film, Best Writing, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Production Design, Best Costume Design, Best Music Written for a Film, Best Sound, Best French Documentary, Best Animated Film and honorary Cesar.
