Sydney Tamiaa Poitier, an American film and television actress, is married to Dorian Heartsong.

She has been together with him for four years and the couple is still in so much in love. The pair has a baby daughter of one year.

Sydney works in film and television whereas her husband is also popular singer/composer. Their personal life is eventful as professional life.

Poitier started her acting career in the late 1990s. In 2001, she featured in the main role in the NBC drama series First years. After a year, she appeared in the Abby, UPN sitcom but the series was canceled after three episodes.

Then she got a recurring role of Rebecca Askew in the Joan of Arcadia. She also appeared in the first season of Veronica Mars.

In 2007, she made a cameo appearance in the horror film Grindhouse directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. Then she also appeared in other television shows.

In January 2017, she made a guest appearance in the thriller film Clinical, directed by Alistair Legrand.
