Chanel Iman is on cloud nine! The 27-year-old American supermodel gave birth to her first child, a daughter with husband Sterling Shephard.
The New York Giants wide receiver Shepard announced the birth of their first child on Instagram on Sunday, August 12 revealing their daughter was born on Friday, 10th August. In the post, the NFL star also revealed the newborn's name as Cali Clay.
The new mother took to her Instagram sharing a photo of herself lying in the hospital bed keeping her daughter close to her chest and her husband Sterling kissing her. "You were worth every push every contraction! Welcome to our world @caliclayshepard Love mommy and daddy", she captioned the Instagram post.
In May, Iman announced the upcoming arrival of her first child in an Instagram post. "Daddy and Mommy can't wait to meet you", she captioned the photo of her cradling her growing baby bump.
Talking to People shortly after announcing the impending birth of her daughter where she said she was super excited to meet her baby. She said the first three months of her pregnancy was difficult indeed for her and she was super sick.
The couple, who tied the knot on March 3, 2018, are super happy welcoming their first child. She met her husband in 2016, at Victor Cruz's birthday party and dated for over a year before they got engaged. Four months later, they tied the knot at the Beverly Hill Hotel in March this year.
