Zac Bolland And Girlfriend Courtney Brierley Charged With Murder In Manchester Carson Attack Monday

by Joey Jordan,

Zac Bolland, 23, and his girlfriend Courtney Brierley, 20 have been charged with three counts of murder and four counts of attempted murder in the Manchester arson attack on Monday.

Both of the defendants were asked to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court Wednesday morning.

Police have reported three petrol bombs were thrown into the Walkden house of Michelle Pearson at around 5 in the morning which left Pearson's daughters Demi, 14, and Lacie, 7, and son Brandon, 8.

The Greater Manchester Police Chief Superintendent Wayne Miller said they had recovered which proved the attack was predetermined.

Pearson's eldest son Kyle Pearson, 16, was able to escape through a window and got some minor injuries when he went back into the house to save his family.

A recently obtained footage shows a dispute between rival gangs saw a dog beaten with a hammer and windows smashed into nearby houses which possibly led to the arson attack.

Six people were taken into custody on suspicion of the attack. Three of the six are still under the custody while remaining three were released on bail.
