Virginia and Shepard started dating when they were studying at The University of Mississippi. They dated for a couple of years and got married in 1987.

Shepard struggled for years to come out of his shell and finally reveal his true self to the world. He came out in 2017. He also talked about his longtime boyfriend Giovanni Graziano, who is a Fox News producer. The couple has been dating since 2013.  

 

In the same interview, he also expressed his gratitude towards the late Roger Ailes, who was a great supporter of their relationship.

 

Giovanni Graziano started his career on Fox Network as an intern in 2008 and later became a Production Assistant for Fox Report With Shepard Smith.
