Scott Walker, American-Born British Singer Dies Aged 76

Influential British singer Scott Walker died. The American-born singer and songwriter died on Friday, 22nd March.

His record company 4AD announced his death news on Monday, March 25 revealing his death on Friday. The record company, however, hasn't revealed the cause of his death.

Walker rose to prominence after releasing The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore in the 60s. He was involved in the British band Walker Brothers. The music band took the limelight at the time when the music industry was reigned by The Rolling Stones and The Beatles.

Some of the greatest hits by the Walker Brothers include My Ship Is Comin' In, You Don't Have to Tell Me and Make It Easy on Yourself. Singer Scott Walker left the group and started his solo career when the band was in the commercial peak.

According to the sources, the great singer and songwriter Walker is survived by his longtime partner Beverly Walker, daughter Lee and granddaughter Emmi-Lee.
