The American radio host, anchor, and, sports reporter, Sarah Spain, is notable for her work as a columnist for espnW.com, host of ESPN Radio show, 'The Trifecta,' as well as SportsCenter Reporter for ESPN. 

Early Life and Education of Sarah Spain

Born on August 18, 1986, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, Sarah Spain was born as Sarah Colby Spain. She was raised by her parent in Lake Forest, Illinois. Regarding her nationality and ethnicity, Spain is a White American.

Spain attended Cornell University and majored in English. At the time, she also participated in the Cornell Big Red track and field team. In the year 1998, as a senior, Spain was the MVP and captain of her track and field, field hockey and basketball teams for the Lake Forest High School.

Professional Career

Sarah Spain began her career as a journalist with Fox Sports Net and has also worked for several other radio shows like MouthpieceSports.com and ChicagoNow.com. She also worked as a guest-host for WGN’s radio show called ChicagoNow Radio.

Furthermore, Spain became one of the original co-hosts of the WGN-TV show ‘Chicago’s Best’ alongside Brittney Payton and Ted Bruson. In the year 2010, she joined ESPN 1000 in Chicago and began working as a writer for espnW.com in October of the same year.

ESPN also launched a new radio show called ‘Spain & Prim’ with Spain and anchor, Prim Siripipat. She has worked on a variety of ESPN TV shows including ‘OlbermannChicago,' ‘Mike & Mike,' ‘His & Hers,' ‘The Sports Reporters’, and Outside The Lines’ as well.

Spain made her agreement for a new multi-year deal with ESPN in September 2016 and started the new national ESPN Radio show called, ‘Izzy & Spain,' along with co-host Israel Gutierrez. She also hosted Fantasy Football Island with Mike Golic Jr., in the year 2017.

Spain’s husband, Brad works as the inventor of the iconic sports site called The Hackler. In the year 2008, the couple first met at a charity bowling event, and after a year they started dating each other.

After dating for almost seven years, they decided to turn their relationship into a marital relationship and got married in 2016. Spain is currently residing in LA along with her husband.
