Original EastEnders’ cast member English actress Sandy Ratcliff, who is widely known for appearing in the character of Sue Osman from 1985 to 1989, died at the age of 70 in a care home in Stamford Hill, North London.

Sources confirmed that her body was discovered dead on Sunday morning having died overnight.

The famous actress battled drugs and booze during her life and was trained as a counselor after overcoming he r o i n addiction. Sandy left EastEnders in 1989 and was revealed that she was struggling with a he r o i n addiction.

Sandy, who started her professional acting career in 1970, has appeared in numerous movies and television series like EastEnders, Family Life, The Final Programme, Hussy, Yesterday’s Hero, Target, Play for Today, Chorus Girls, Maigret, and many others.

Sandy was previously married to theatre director Terence Palmer in 1968. The pair was blessed with a son, William in 1973. The couple, after being married for five years, got divorced in 1973.

After divorcing Terence, she came into the spotlight when her boyfriend Michael Storey was accused of murder in 1991. Her lover was jailed for a lifetime for murdering two women in 1991.

There were reports that Sandy suffered three strokes in her life and was diagnosed with cancer.
