Said Taghmaoui is a French-American actor and screenwriter, well known for his major screen role in the 1995 French film La Haine, directed by Mathieu Ka s sovitz.

Early life and education

Said Taghmaoui was born on 19 July 1973 in Villepinte, Seine-Saint-Denis. Said was one of the eight children of his parents, he has four brothers and three sisters. He is white French-American in ethnicity.

Taghmaoui grew up in the Rose des Vents quarter of the Aulnay-sous-Bois commune. He dropped out of school to pursue his interest in boxing, rising as high as No.2 in his weight cla s s in France.

Career

Taghmaoui's career began when he met actor and director, Mathieu Ka s sovitz in Ka s sovitz's film La Haine, whose plot concerns race and violence in the ghettoized banlieues of Paris.

The following year, he was nominated for a Cesar Award for his performance. Since then he has pursued an international career, appearing in films made in Germany, Italy, Morocco, and the United States.

Said Taghmaoui also starred in Vantage Point as the leader of a terrorist group plotting to kidnap the U.S. president. While he was in Morocco, Taghmaoui appeared in Djinns. His work in television including Lost, Touch, and House of Saddam.

Said Taghmaoui seems to be single currently. He has not been seen dating any girlfriend neither is married till date. Though he might be dating his girlfriends but does not wish to reveal about it.
