Roman Bürki

Born and raised in Munsingen, Roman Burki is a Swiss professional football player, plays as a goalkeeper, who started his career professionally in 2009 from the club Young Boys. The footballer was also loaned out to Gra s shopper in 2013  and won Swiss Cup with the club. He also played for several another renowned clubs like SC Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund. He played his first international match against Poland, on 14 November 2014. 

Early Life And Childhood Of Roman Burki 

Roman Burki was born on 14 November 1990, in Munsingen, Switzerland. He is the son of Karin Burki and Martin Burki. His older brother Marco Bürki is also a soccer player. 

The footballer started his early career joining the youth setup FC Munsingen aged 9 and played until 2005. He later went on to join another youth academy Young Boys in the same year.  

Roman Burki's Club Career 

In 2009, Roman Burki entered the senior team of Young Boys and was loaned out to the club FC Thun where he played for a year from 2009-10. In the summer of 2010, the footballer came back to BSC Young Boys before his transfer to Gra s shopper Club Zurich.  

On  24 May 2014, Burki made an agreement with German football club SC Freiburg. For the 2014 and 15 season, he went on to play in the Bundesliga making 34 appearances in total. Despite his finest performance in all matches, he was not able to prevent the team from being relegated to 2. Bundesliga. 

Burki signed a new contract with Borussia Dortmund on  14 June 2015. He played his first game for the club on 15 August against Borussia Mönchengladbach in which Dortmund won by 4-0. 

Roman Burki's International Career 

Roman Burki was also included in the Switzerland U-21 team for 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. He received his first call from the senior team in 2013. 

Burki also appeared in 2014 FIFA World Cup, however, he made his full international debut playing in a friendly match against Poland on 18 November 2014.

Burki was also in a relationship with Swiss model Nasta s sja Beutler. The couple started dating in 2010. They also made their red carpet appearance together in late 2016. They parted ways at the end of 2016.
