American retired professional wrestler and professional wrestling manager Ric Flair is hospitalized. His wife confirmed that he is all set to undergo surgery after he was rushed to an Atlanta area hospital.

Ric Flair’s wife Wendy Barlow announced that the wrestling icon would be having an operation Friday morning, but did not disclose what the procedure was for. But, Wendy then on May 17, announced that his surgery has been postponed until Monday.

Speaking in a statement, Wendy announced that the wrestling legend was taken to the hospital due to ongoing health complications.

According to TMZ, Ric had experienced a very serious medical emergency on Thursday morning. The medical emergency might be related to his recent heart issues.

In 2017, it was revealed that Ric was in the early stages of kidney failure and was on the verge of congestive heart failure. It was reported that the medical complications were the result of alcohol abuse.
