Batman artist Norm Breyfogle pa s sed away. Norm's Batman was pure adrenalin rush. Everything was drawn to suit what Norm wanted to express, his exuberance on the page could not be pinned down by mundane mechanics and necessities.

Born in Iowa in 1960, Breyfogle had a long career working with DC Comics where he built on titles like Detective Comics, Shadow of the Bat, Batman: Holy Terror, Batman Beyond Unlimited, and Batman Birth of the Demon among others.
Later, he worked with Marvel Comics and co-created the Ultraverse and helped to launch Prime. He also worked on Avengers, Black Panther, Marvel Fanfare, Moon Knight, Hellcat.
In 2014, Breyfogle suffered a stroke and went through some serious medical treatment. Then, his fans quickly donated around $89,000 to help him cover his $200,000 medical expenses. DC, Marvel, and the Hero initiative also aided Breyfogle.
