Raúl Albiol

Raul Albiol is acknowledged as a Spanish professional footballer. His date of birth is 4 September 1985. He was born in Vilamarxant, Spain. His nickname is El Chori. As a footballer, he is very versatile as he plays terrifically as a central defender, right back as well as a defensive midfielder. He plays for Spanish National team and S.S.C Napoli in Italy. He has won several titles with Valencia and Real Madrid. He has also represented Spain in 2010 World Cup and European Championships. Raúl Albiol's Early life     

He was born to Miguel Albiol Balaguer, his father. He has very supportive and loving parents. His brother also named Miguel plays for Murcia. His uncle Jose Luis Albiol was also a professional footballer. His parents had been selling lottery tickets in their native place Vilamarxant for about 20 years. He grew very fast physically as a youth player and took coordination exercises.

A miserable adversity happened when on his way to sign on loan for Getafe he met with a fatal car accident at the age of eighteen. He was undergoing treatment for 17 days and had his spleen removed. He has a fetish for video games and is unbeatable at football games.

He initially played football with two clubs in his native region joining Valencia CF at the age of 10. He played his first debut match against AIK Football in UEFA Cup at the age of eighteen. He debuted for La Liga on 15 January 2005 against Athletico Madrid that ended with a draw 1-1. He won a match against Real Madrid after 2 months triumphing with 2-1. He then returned back to Valencia. By the time he had already established himself as a desirable and preferable first choice player. He triumphed against Real Betis in the 2006-2007 league campaign settling with a 2-1 score.

In the same year, he was part of UEFA Champions League which they won with the 4-2 score. He joined Real Madrid on 25 June 2009. He was signed by the president Florentino Perez and was the first Spanish player in the team. He emerged as an unbeatable player triumphing in the Champions league at Olympique de Marseille registering the 3-1 score. He was replaced by another player named Ricardo Carvalho that was brought by Real Madrid and he had to embrace the bench.

His contract with Real Madrid was renewed till June 2017 and the contract was signed on 6 August 2012. He suffered from an ankle injury for about one month and it occurred while playing as a team captain for the Spanish Cup against CD Alcoyano. He was sold to Napoli in Italy for 12 million Euros on 21 July 2013 on a four-year contract.
