Philippa Tomson joined ITV News Central on ITV Central in March 2002. In addition, she also served as a freelancer with a number of networks including Central Extra on ITV Central, ITV News London on ITV London, the ITV News Channel and Westcountry Live on ITV Westcountry.

On 1 May 2012, Philippa began working with Sky News as a freelancer news presenter and reporter. She was an occasional co-presenter of Tony Horne in the Morning on Metro Radio from August 2008 to July 2011. 

Philippa trained as a journalist when she was 18 years old and later became the chief reporter for the Express & Star in Wolverhampton. She is currently working on ITV’s Good Morning Britain along with Laura Tobin and Charlotte Hawkins as well.
