One died, and nine others were injured after shooters opened fire at a memorial day weekend party in Virginia Saturday night.

Chesapeake Police Department officers responded to an emergency call just before 10 pm where the initial reports were made complaining of noise and traffic congestion as people refused to move their vehicle aside.

Leo Kosinski, police spokesman said in a digital statement that ten people were shot in total and one among the victims died in the hospital. The victim who was killed in the attack was identified as Brandon Smith of Suffolk, 27. He died at around 2 on Sunday morning at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Authorities said two groups of people came to the gathering and got into an altercation with both the groups exchanging guns.

Kosinski also said there wasn't made any arrests, and the police didn't have any suspect descriptions related to the attack other than they were all male.

Other nine victims recover in the hospital with none life-threatening wounds, however, further condition about the victims was unknown.
