Hours after horrific Texas shooting that left 20 people dead and dozens injured, nine people were killed, and 24 others were wounded in a shooting at an Ohio bar.
A shooter opened fire at a bar in Dayton, Ohio, at around 1:55 a.m. on Sunday using a semi-automatic weapon. According to Dayton Daily News, the shooting began as the shooter was refused entry to Ned Peppers Bar. The police statement said:
We had officers in the immediate vicinity when this shooting began and were able to respond and put an end to it quickly.
The police fatally shotted the first shooter, however, officers are afraid a second shooter, who fled the scene in a Jeep could be on the loose.
Witnesses told a white man dressed all in black opened the gunfire in the early morning. One witness, James Williams, said he was sitting outside the bar when the gunman entered the area carrying a rifle before he opened fire. He further said on Facebook:
The active-shooter tried to go into the bar but did not make it through the door someone took the gun from him and he got shot and is dead.
The attack came just over 12 hours after a gunman opened fire at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, that killed 20 people and left dozens of people injured. The shooting was reportedly carried out by a zealot anti-immigrant who hated Hispanic people.
