Canadian actor and writer Michael D. Cohen, who has been appearing as Schwoz on Henry Danger since 2004, has now come forward to reveal that he transitioned female to male nearly 20 years ago.

Forty-three years old Michael claimed that he was a s signed with the wrong gender at birth and later decided to transition to male back on April 26, 2000, just before he started his acting career.

Michael explained that it was an epiphany for him. He added:

I said, ‘I need to know, it’s now or never.’ It all came together and from that day on, I was living as a man.

Michael explained that he is male and that’s something non-negotiable part of him. He said:

“I’m born with this… It’s not something that got evolved from the outside. It would’ve been much more convenient if I were female… But this is who I am.”

Michael grew up in Winnipeg, Canada. Recalling his past days, he claimed that he always wanted to be an actor but was not sure about what was not right. He struggled to come to terms with his identity.

Michael also claimed that he always knew who he was but was suppressed. He explained that suppression is one of the most significant disease-causing issues in society, whether it’s mental, emotional, physique, and spiritual.

After transiting in 2000, Michael admitted that he was unsure of how to proceed and was dead worried if trans experience may bring hinder in his career ambitions.

Michael soon started his acting career in 2000 appearing in Moville Mysteries. Till the date, he has made over 20 credits to his name. He has appeared in numerous movies and television series like Doc, Skinheads, My Name is Earl, Eastwick, Modern Family, Powerless, Game Shakers, 2 Broke Girls, An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn, and more!
