Former New York Jets Player Muhammad Wilkerson Arrested For DIU

NFL free agent Muhammad Wilkerson was arrested for in New York on Saturday driving under influence. The 29-year-old former New York Jets defensive tackle was arrested after he failed to stop at a red light in the Washington Heights.

According to the New York Daily News, the footballer was driving a 2019 Rolls Royce when he was pulled over around 3:40 in the morning. He told police he had a shot and two beers.

A breathalyzer showed 0.09 blood alcohol lever for Wilkerson after which he was charged with DUI. He has since been released.

Starting the NFL career with the Jets, Wilkerson signed a one-year contract with the Green Bay Packers for the 2018 season, however, his season was cut short after he sustained a severe left ankle injury in week 3.

So far, Wilkerson has played 108 games in which he has 410 tackles and 103 quarterback hits and 44.5 sacks.
