A Nebraska man was sentenced to two years in prison for marrying his own daughter and having an illegal relationship with her. The man was announced his sentence last week.

The man, who has been identified as Travis Fieldgrove, 40, was charged with incest, however, he pleaded no contest in April.

In February, Grand Island authorities arrested Fieldgrove and his daughter, Samantha Kershner after they were informed the father-daughter duo was involved in a sexual relationship in September 2018 despite being aware of their biological relationship.

As per the court affidavit, Kershner wanted to have sex with her father because she was envious of her half-sister regarding who could have sex with their father.

According to the reports, less than a month after the father and daughter had a physical relationship, they got married at the Adams County Courthouse in Hastings on October 1, 2018.

As per the court doc u ments, the DNA tests indicated Fieldgrove has almost 100% probability of being Kershner's father, however, his name is not listed on her birth certificate.
