A mother of two was found dead at the semi-detached home following a suspected domestic incident.
The woman, who is known as Regan Tierney, was found dead in the early hours of 5th May morning at a house in the Walkden area of Salford in Greater Manchester.
Regan is believed to be in her twenties. Side by side, a man in his thirties, was rushed to the hospital and is in a critical condition.
Police have not revealed where he is being treated as a suspect, or they were hunting for anyone else.
One of the neighbors said that the house was being rented. She claimed that they were in bed when they saw flashing lights and sirens. She said:
It was just chaos. I heard someone screaming "no, no, no," and the police went running into the house.
Officers carrying out investigations said that they would be at the property for some time and forensics experts were also seen at the scene.
The GMP’s Salford district detective chief inspector Chris Packer claimed that the incident is an incredibly tragic incident in which a woman has lost her life.
He added:
We have a team of specialist officers at the scene carrying out investigative work, and the scene will remain in place throughout the day.
Every possible investigation has been launched, and inquiries are going on.
