Mookie Betts, who plays for Boston Red Sox of Major Baseball League, is expecting his first child with girlfriend Brianne Hammond.
The 25-year-old baseball star took to his Twitter on Wednesday, 8th August to announce the upcoming arrival of their first child. "This year continues to be good to me!!! Can't wait to meet you baby Betts", Betts wrote on his Twitter.

The year in indeed has been exceptional for Betts. His MLB team, Boston Red Sox are firmly on top of the table after they beat Toronto Blue Jays by 10-5 on Wednesday night. The Red Sox hence becomes the seventh AL team in the MLB history to register 81 games in just 115 games. The four among the previous six teams went on to win the World Series.
Meanwhile, Betts' girlfriend Hammond took to her Instagram on Wednesday sharing a boomerang video where she rolled her hand around her growing baby bump and captioned it as "We can't wait to meet you."
Betts and his longtime girlfriend, Hammond have been dating for over a decade. According to Heavy, the lovebirds first met in their mid-school and started dating in 2005. The pair was once rumored to get engaged, however, they haven't confirmed their engagement yet.
Heavy also speculated that Hammonds might be six-month pregnant with her first child which shows she is due in November this year.
