Miss Trans America Pageant Founder, Christa Stabbed to Death by Husband Mark

A recorded  27 homicides of transgender Americans in 2017 was quite similar to the number of deaths of transgenders in 2016.

 On 6 Jan 2018, the first case of transgender murder was recorded. A transgender rights advocate and founder of miss trans new England pageant, Christa Leigh Steele-Knudslien was found dead in her home at Ma s sachusetts.

According to reports, Christy was beaten severely and stabbed in her back that led to death. 
After the Ma s sachusetts police investigated the whole case they found her husband, Mark Steele-Knudslien to be the culprit. Mark later admitted to having an argument with his wife, Christa and hitting her with a hammer and stabbing her to back to death. 

Christa was a powerful figure in the LGBT  community and an activist who launched the first trans event pride event in New England. 
Christa also collaborated with fellow advocates to found the platform, miss trans new England pageant where trans from the different region come together.
Mark who admitted of murdering his wife, Christa after having an argument with her is pleaded not guilty. He will be taken to the court hearing on Feb 7.
