Michael Todd "Mike" Tirico is one of the famous announcers for the presentation of Monday Night Football on ESPN. He also does multiple programming for various other sports such as NBA, tennis, and golf too. He has established himself as one of the most recognized personalities in the field of sports. Mike Tirico was born on December 13, 1966, in Queens, New York. He is the son of Donald Tirico and Maria Tirico.

He started his career by joining ESPN in 1991 as Sports Center. After four years during his undergraduate years in Syracuse University, he worked as Sports Director at CBS in Syracuse, New York. He is famous because of his all-rounder nature also various a s signments handled by him for Sports Center.
From 1997 to 2005 he has handled play-by-play for ESPN’s Thursday night college football package. Similarly, from 1997 to 2002 he had handled college basketball coverage, from 2002 to present he is handling NBA coverage and from 1996 to 2006 he had handled PGA golf coverage for ABC. He also had worked hosting various ESPN’s studio coverage and covered events of ABC.
From 1993 to 2001 he also worked in Monday Night Countdown for ESPN which was known as NFL Prime Monday and studio show of ESPN’s NBA. He usually also does final coverage of the NBA for ESPN Radio also he broadcasted NBA games on ESPN and ABC.

Likewise, in September 2007, he began hosting the short-lived Mike Tirico show from 1:00-3:00 pm(Eastern Time) weekdays on ESPN radio.
This show soon had become a hit. In the spring of 2008, Tirico featured a show with Scott Van as a co-host which resulted in changing the title of the show from Tirico and Van Pelt to The Mike Tirico show. In 2009, he announced that he will leave the show for focusing more on his TV playoff duties, and hence again the name of the show became The Scott Van Pelt Show.
In August 2009 he had also covered the famous US Grand Slam. He soon signed the agreement with the US Tennis Association on ESPN. In 2010 he was awarded the title for the sportscaster of the year by NSSA (National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association).
