American actress Michelle Williams and indie musician Phil Elverum have split just after less than a year of tying the knot. A close source revealed that the pair separated at the beginning of this year. The source added that the split was amicable and the couple remains friends.

However, Michelle’s representative declined to comment.

Michelle and Phil, who first met through a mutual friend, got married last summer in a secret wedding ceremony with a handful of friends and their two daughters. The pair got married in July 2018.

Michelle had always described their relationship as very sacred and very special.

Before being married to Phil, Michelle was in a relationship to actor Heath Ledger. The pair enjoyed three years long relationship and even had a child, daughter together. Sadly, her partner died in2008 due to an accidental overdose of prescription medication.

On the other side, Phil was also married to Genevieve Castree. His wife died in 2016 after battling to pancreatic cancer. The dup had a daughter together.
