Television actor Michael Sleggs, who is widely known for appearing in This Country, revealed he is dying of cancer following a fairly rapid deterioration.

Thirty-three years old television actor shared the news in a moving Facebook post last weeks. In the post, he explained that he is planning to spend his final days at home with his family.

Michael started the post explaining that he had been spending a lot of time in and out of the hospital over the past few months. The doctors have sent him home on palliative care to live out the remaining days of his life at home.

Michael revealed that no specific time limit had been given to him, but deterioration has been fairly rapid. He narrowly dodged a coma by an accidental overdose on morphine. He said:

Anyway as you can imagine this isn't the ideal way I wished things to go, and my family are dealing with a lot of grief. 

With the post, Michael just wanted to say that he loves everyone reading the status and claims that everyone has been an amazing, kind, and caring people who have touched his life in so many unique and incredible ways.

Michael even revealed that his Christian faith had helped him the most to come to terms with his diagnosis. He was taking comfort with the help of his religious beliefs. He added:

If you dont know Jesus already, my only hope is that you get to know him before you get to my state. He'll totally rock your world in the best way!

Michael, who is famous for appearing in the role of Michael “Slugs” Slugette in the BBC Three Comedy, was battling with terminal cancer in a tragic twist of fate.
