Michael Nyqvist of ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ Died of Lung Cancer. He Was 56

The girl with the Dragon Tattoo actor Michael Nyqvist is no more. He has died at the age of 56 as confirmed on Tuesday.

It is reported that the actor died of lung cancer. Famously known for his role in the Swedish movie adaptations of the girl with the dragon tattoo series was an impressive actor and skillful.

'Michael's joy and pa s sion were infectious to those who knew and loved him' a statement released by the family via the Hollywood reporters.

The statement continued as family added 'His charm and charisma were undeniable, and his love for the arts was felt by all who had the pleasure of working with him.’

Starring alongside Noomi Rapace in the 2009 adaptation of the girl with the dragon tattoo, Michael played the role of Mikael Blomqvist.

 

Michael has two children Ellen and Arthur and married to Catharina. He was very pa s sionate about pursuing a career in acting when he was 17. AENC
