Khazei is happily married to her long-time boyfriend Scott A. Huff. Scott Huff is a Bowling Green State University alumnus and a division manager for a medical technology company. This blessed couple has raised three children together from their marriage.

Kim Khazei started her Television career at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. She then worked for four years at KQTV in Missouri as an evening anchor and reporter.

She served as an evening news anchor for the NBC affiliates in Champaign, Illinois and later moved to work at KOVR-TV in Sacramento, California as an anchor and reporter. In January 1994, Khazei appeared to Channel 7 in Boston, Ma s sachusetts at the time when Sunbeam Television Corporation took over the station.
