Manchester Arena attack: Salman Abedi named as the suicide-bomber

Salman Abedi has been named as the suicide bomber who caused the incident at Manchester Arena on May 22. The disaster at the Ariana Grande concert killed 22 people and injured about 60 more people.

The police got the information about Abedi after they conducted a raid in South Manchester where he was residing. For further investigation police even conducted the raid on his brother Ismael's house.

Previously, the incident was reported to have been conducted by the ISIS. However, the latest report claim that the suspect might have done on his own and the further investigation is still on to know if there is any motto or hidden hands behind the incident.

Born to Libyan refugees in 1994 in Manchester, Abedi is the youngest child among four. His parents had migrated to London before moving to Manchester to survive the Gaddafi regime. He grew up in Whalley Range area, and according to the latest report, most of the members of his family have returned to Libya.

Abedi is still the suspect by Greater Manchester Chief Constable Ian Hopkins. However, he has not been identified formally, and the further investigation is still on.
