Logan Paul Apologizes After Facing Backlash for the Suicide Video
After facing severe criticism over his shared images of a suicide victim, Youtuber, Logan Paul has apologized his fans and critics.
A video clip of suicide came out in media posted by Paul from the woods of Aokigahara, Japan called suicide forest, where a high number of suicides take place.
Soon after he posted images of the suicide, Paul was backlashed by critics for not being concerned about serious issues like suicide
After being condemned for the issue, logan paul took on Twitter to apologize for the damage he made sharing the clip.
Addressing his 3.9 million Twitter followers, he tweeted:
Let's start with this—I'm sorry. This is a first for me. I've never faced criticism like this before because I've never made a mistake like this before. I'm surrounded by good people and believe I make good decisions, but I'm still a human being. I can be wrong.
He continued, "I didn't do it for views. I get views. I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the Internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity. That's never the intention. I intended to raise awareness for suicide and suicide prevention...I'm often reminded of how big of a reach I truly have and with great power comes great responsibility."
"For the first time in my life, I'm regretful to say I handled that power incorrectly. It won't happen again."
