Linkin Park's Lead Singer Chester Bennington Hangs Himself to Death, Age 41

Chester Bennington, the lead singer of the band platinum-selling rock band, Linkin park, has died, Police confirms. The 41-year-old singer was found dead on Thursday in his home near LA. 

The singer died at his Palos Verdes Estates, Brian Elias, the Los Angeles County coroner's office's chief of operations confirmed. Police reportedly received a call shortly after 9 A.M. Chester Bennington who was struggling with substance abuse is suspected to have killed himself in his private residence. Apparently, Bennington hanged himself to death. 

 

Fans all over the world are shocked. Chester Bennington with his band the Linkin Park had just released an album and was often seen talking about his children in interviews. However, he had stated that he struggled with addiction and depression in the past. 

This is not the first instance of a popular singer's suicide this year, just this May Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave had died. In fact, Chester Bennington had sung Hallelujah at Chris Cornell's funeral.
