Know The Reason behind Former Mets Pitcher Anthony Young’s Death

The 51 years old former New York Mets pitcher has died.

Anthony Young was known for setting major records with 27 simultaneous losses in 1990’s. He was hospitalized in his hometown of Houston, Texas.

Sports Illustrated that Young's death was the result of an inoperable brain tumor. Started with a vision problem, the tumor was discovered by young in January.

“I was having blurred vision and my wife took me to the emergency room,” he told sports talk host Bill Donahue in February interview. He came to explain saying, “They found out that I had a brain tumor in my brain stem, which is too dangerous to try to get a biopsy, so we treated it like it was cancer.”

He later went under chemotherapy as a treatment as he was doing well.

“I’m doing great,” he expressed. “I never got sick, I drove myself every day to chemo. I never missed a day of work. I go to work every day. Everything is going fine. I had an MRI the other day and the tumor actually shrunk some.”

On Monday night MLB player informed via Twitter that Young had fallen into a coma and following afternoon his death was announced.
