American actor, dancer, and singer Ken Berry died at 85. The renowned 1960's actor, famous for his appearance in F-Troop and Mama's Family pa s sed away on Saturday, December 1.

His ex-wife, Jackie Joseph-Lawrence took to her Facebook on Sunday, December 2 to announce the demise of her ex-husband. She wrote, "With very deep sorrow, I must inform friends of Ken Berry that he died a short time ago." Here is the post:

Fellow actor and comedian, Larry Storch expressed his sorrow and condolences to the late actor on his Facebook where he wrote: " We are sad to let you know our beloved Captain, Mr. Ken Berry pa s sed away tonight."

Ken was known for his big-screen roles in the Disney films Herbie Rides Again and The Cat From Outer Space among others.

Born in Moline, Illinois on November 3, 1933, Berry started his career as a singer and a dancer. Additionally, he also served in the US Army under Sergeant Leonard Nimoy who helped him to introduce to studios after he left the Army.

Ken Berry is survived by his daughter Jennifer Berry, a longtime partner, Susan, and nieces Bonnie and Candy in addition to his ex-wife Jackie Joseph-Lawrence.
