Katy Perry Kissed a 19 Year Old American Idol Contestant Benjamin Glaze

On the premiere of American Idol, Sunday, one of the judges, Katy Perry kissed a 19-year-old contestant from Enid, Oklahoma, Benjamin Glaze.

Glaze who introduced himself as an electronic store cashier admitted that he has not kissed any girl before on the set of American Idol.

Fellow judges, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie along with Katy Perry immediately thought of giving the 19-year-old a night to remember.Glaze said:

“I’ve never been in a relationship, I can’t kiss a girl without being in a relationship.”

Responding to which perry with no hesitation stood up from her seat and said:

“Come here, Benjamin. Come here right now!”

Glaze who was unaware of the next move somehow thought of a kiss on her cheek but at the last few seconds, before the kiss could happen on the cheeks, Perry turned her head and landed a kiss on his lips. After the heart skipping moment for Glaze, he auditioned and sang his heart out but unfortunately could not convince the judges. At the end of Glaze’s departure, Perry said:

“I really enjoyed meeting you today. You gave my heart aflutter. I think you’re really sweet but truthfully, there are just some people that are outsinging you right now and so I don’t think it’d be fair to put you in that kind of competition. Next time just take your time. I think you were a bit rushed and I think that’s because I sped up your BPM of the heartbeat.”

Though Glaze could not get the golden ticket to Hollywood it indeed was a memorable day for him.
