Kathryn Hamm completed graduation from the University with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She then received the Master of Social Work (MSW) from the Catholic University.

Eventually, the business was called Gaywedding.com. The business offered femme or butch a thank you cards along with the fancy wedding proclamations.

During the beginning of the business vendors at the stationery, shows looked at her as if she was some crazy woman. But after few years of the business vendors showed more interest in helping out the business.

Hamm headed the business nearly at the ending of 2006. During the time her grandmother also allowed her mother in increasing her lobbying efforts for equal rights for the same-sex couples. Kathryn Hamm then began holding wedding planning seminars ‘Gay Wedding 101’ in different areas like Boston, Chicago, and Washington DC.

Kathryn Hamm formed a business partnership in the year 2010, with an American singer-songwriter named Catie Curtis. The business was about serving the wedding officiate for the GayWedding.com as well as to help the same-sex couples to design their own ceremonies.

They have been together for two decades now. They met each other through a common friend in 1993 and Claredon in 1995 before their marriage. The same-sex marriage was not legalized during their first marriage. 

Their second wedding was more about to achieve legal benefits. While the couple’s first wedding was more traditional but their second wedding was much more relaxed. The couple has even adopted a son named Celeb in 2006 and is 12 years old now.
