- She was married twice; first, she married Bert Remsen in 1949 and got separated within a year and later she married a teacher Edward G. Kaye-Martin whom she divorced only after a year.
Petty gossiping mother of Little House on the Prairie, Katherine MacGregor has died. A representative for the actress confirmed her death on Wednesday, 14th November. She was 93 years.
Her attorney, Tony Sears revealed MacGregor too k her last breath on Tuesday, 13th November at the Motion Picture and Television Fund retirement community in LA. The cause of her death is yet to be revealed.
Following her death was announced, Mellisa Gilbert took to her Instagram paying her tribute to the late actress. She wrote "She was outspoken and hilariously funny" alongside the photo of her and Katherine. She further wrote,
A truly gifted actress as she was able to play a despicable character but with so much heart. Her Harriet Oleson was the woman our fans loved to hate. A perfect antagonist.

Born in California in January 1925, MacGregor began her career as a dancer in New York before she starting learning under the legendary acting teacher Sanford Meisner.
Before she landed on with her breakthrough role on Little House on the Prairie, she worked in several tiny film roles and TV guest roles.
MacGregor was married to actor Bert Remsen for only a year since 1949 to 50 and later she got married to director and teacher Edward G. Kaye-Martin in 1969. Her marriage to Martin couldn't last for more than a year either. She got divorced from him in October 1970. MacGregor has no survivors.
