Juan Martin del Porto Confirms Semifinal Against Rafael Nadal Winning Over Roger Ferrer
Argentine professional tennis player Juan Martin del Porto beat Swiss Roger Ferrer to make his way to the US Open semi-final on Wednesday 6th of September. The 6’6’’ Argentine repeat his 2009 final victory over the World No 1 at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Del Porto shattered Ferrer’s dream to play against the Spanish Rafael Nadal in the semi-final as he claimed a 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 6-4 win at Flushing Meadows.
All the Argentine supporters celebrated Porto’s grand victory over Ferrer and chanted like in soccer.
Porto said to ESPN during his on-court interview,
I played my best match of the tournament.
He added,
I can’t believe I will play in the semi-finals against after all my injuries, after all my surgeries. Especially to play here in New York, my favorite tournament.
Porto is now one step closer to the second Grand Slam of his career. If he wins the semifinal against Nadal he will be facing either South African K. Anderson or P. Carreño Busta.
