Jon Stewart and Tracey McShane are a Happily Married Couple

Jon Stewart and Tracey McShane first met through a mutual friend at a Mexican restaurant. A production a s sistant of Wishful Thinking who is a mutual friend of both set-up a blind date for them.

After the blind date, they started dating and after dating for about four years, in 1999, Stewart proposed his girlfriend with a crossword puzzle and they announced their engagement on an episode of ABC’s The View.

They eventually got married in 2000. Before meeting Jon, Tracey was a graphic designer, she later studied to become a Veterinarian. And Jon started hosting The Daily Show. Stewart and McShane legally changed both of their surnames to "Stewart" on June 19, 2001.

54 years old Jon Stewart and 49 years old Tracey McShane are happily married for about 17 years and together have two children. Their first son, Nathan Thomas Stewart was born on July 3, 2004, and their second child was a daughter, Maggie Rose Stewart who was born in 2006.

In 2013, the couple bought a farm called "Bufflehead Farm" in Middletown, New Jersey with a 12-acre (4.9 ha) area and currently the couple is living happily with their two children.

Jon Stewart is a Supporting Husband

In 2005, Stewart's wife, McShane was arrested for driving with a suspended license and police caught her at Central Park. Stewart's spokesman responded:

"She wasn't speeding. But the police discovered that she had a suspended license. She didn't even realize it. She paid a ticket last week. But apparently, her check hadn't been processed."

During the process of bail, Stewart stood up for his wife and also supported her. 

Furthermore, he also promoted his wife’s book named, Do Unto Animals: A Friendly Guide to How Animals Live and How We Can Make Their Lives Better on his show. He said at that time:
