Johnny Clegg, singer better known for his Zulu rhythms and sounds with Western styles, died at his family house in Johannesburg, South Africa. His manager Roddy Quin confirmed the tragic news releasing a statement where he admitted that Johnny died on Tuesday, 16th July.

Roddy, in the statement, claimed that Johnny showed the world what it was to a s similate to and to embrace other cultures without losing their own identity.

He added:

An anthropologist that used his music to speak to every person. With his unique style of music he traversed cultural barriers like few others. In many of us he awakened awareness.

The South African government has also shared its condolences to Johnny’s family and close friends. In the tweet, they insisted that Johnny has left deep footprints in their hearts. They added:
