James William Walker in an American golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He is a six-time winner on the PGA Tour. In 2016, he won his first major title at the PGA Championship.
Early Life and Career
Born on January 16, 1979, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jimmy Walker’s school education was done in Oklahoma City after which he joined the Baylor University.
Before becoming a professional at 2001 at the age of 22, he played on the varsity golf team of the Baylor University, Waco, Texas which was named the Baylor Bears.
Jimmy played full time on the Nationwide Tour on 2003 and 2004. For 2005, he earned the PGA Tour Card but played only in nine events of the PGA Tour due to an injury.
His first full time season for the PGA Tour was on 2006 where he made nine cuts and one top 25 finish out of 21 events. So he was sent back to the Nationwide Tour in 2007 as he ended up 202nd on the money list.
Again for the 2008 season, he obtained a 25th position in the Nationwide Tour and was called back to the PGA. Despite a fairly bad season with 13 cuts and three top 25 finishes out of 24 events he qualified to retain his card and played for the PGA on the 2009 tour season.
In 2009, Jimmy obtained two top-10 finishes and a T5 at the Turning Stone Resort Championship thus ranking 125th on the money list and securing a spot for the 2010 season. Again he ranked on the 103rd position on the money list and qualified for the 2011 PGA Season.
2011 gave him three 4th/T4 finishes, a 68th position in the FedEx Cup standings and a position to play the BMW Championship, the third FedEx Cup playoff.
Jimmy finished 2012 in the 43rd position in the FedEx Cup amalgamated with six top-10 finishes. Form the 2012 John Deere Cla s sic up to the 2013 Memorial Tournament, he made 25 consecutive cuts and had finishes of T2, T3, and T4 and also obtained 2 million dollar prize money.
Jimmy, in 2014 won his maiden PGA Tour Event by two strokes over Vijay Singh at the Frys.com Open. He was then exempted into the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. Jimmy also earned a position in the world’s top 50 and a trip to The Masters and a PGA Tour card to the end of 2016.
In January 2014, he earned another PGA Tour win at the Sony Open in Hawaii after winning over Chris Kirk. With his many wins, he reached the top position on the 2014 money list in the FedEx and Ryder Cup points standings.
His official world ranking reached 24th position followed by which his win at the 2014 Masters Tournament raised his position to 19th. He was also inducted into the 2014 Ryder Cup. On March 2015, Jimmy has won his 5th PGA Tour by winning over Jordan Speith.

Jimmy Walker is married to show jumper Erin Stiegemeier. They met at the 2004 Nationwide Tour event where she worked as a volunteer. They have two sons and there are no rumors regarding their divorce.
