Jason L. Riley is an American journalist, political pundit, and author. He is a member of The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board and currently works as a FOX News contributor.

Jason L. Riley was born on July 8, 1971. He is 49 years old as of July 2020. Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, Riley attended the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned his Bachelor in Arts degree in English.          

Career

Jason Riley began his career as a journalist for news publications like Buffalo News and USA Today. He became a copyreader for The Wall Street Journal in 1994 and contributed to its national news desk in New York.

In April 1996, Riley was named to the newly-commissioned post of the editorial interactive editor. Nearly a decade later, he joined the editorial board of The Wall Street Journal in 2005.   

Additionally, Riley is a senior fellow at the New York-based conservative non-profit think tank, Manhattan Institute for Policy Research. 

 Jason Riley currently works as a FOX News Channel contributor. Among his other contributions, Riley makes frequent appearances in the weekly interview and panel discussion show, Journal Editorial Report, hosted by Wall Street Journal editorial page editor Paul Gigot.  

Riley is also a contributor to the Cable-Satellite Public Affairs Network (C-SPAN), which televises matters relating to the United States federal government and other public affairs programming.
