James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore passes away at the age of 89
James Bond actor Sir Roger Moore has pa s sed away at the age of 89. The British actor died due to cancer in Switzerland, confirmed by his family member. Moore's children announced the death with a statement that read: “he pa s sed away today ... after a short but brave battle with cancer."

Moore is best known for his role as James Bond and has even appeared in other hit show including The Saint and The Persuaders. He is also the longest-serving actor in the James Bond movie and has portrayed in seven of its part.
The veteran actor pa s sed away in Switzerland and his funeral will be conducted privately in Monaco as per his wish. Roger's children signed a statement and said:
Thank you Pops for being you, and for being so very special to so many people.
Our thoughts must now turn to supporting Kristina at this difficult time, and in accordance with our father's wishes there will be a private funeral in Monaco.
He even dedicated most of his life in humanitarian works and even served as a goodwill amba s sador in 1991. UNICEF executive director published a statement about the actor and said:
All of us at UNICEF extend our deepest sympathies to the Moore family, and join his many friends and admirers from around the world in paying tribute to his life and mourning his loss. He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts must now turn to supporting Kristina at this difficult time, and in accordance with our father's wishes there will be a private funeral in Monaco.
Moore is survived by his wife, Kristina Tholstrup, and three children; a daughter, Deborah Moore and two sons; Geoffrey and Christian Moore.
