Jaboukie Young-White is an American actor, stand-up comedian, writer, and rapper. He came to prominence after coming out as gay on live TV during his stand-up bit in an episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Since 2018, he has been a correspondent at The Daily Show.

Jaboukie Young-White was born on July 24, 1994, the oldest of three brothers, to Jamaican immigrant parents of West African, European, Asian origins. As of October 2020, he is 26 years old and is reported to stand at 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 meters).

Among his younger brothers is Javaughn S. Young-White (born on April 17, 1997), who is the father of singer-dancer Kehlani's daughterAdeya Young-White (born on March 23, 2019). The youngest of the brothers is named Javeigh Young-White.

Jaboukie grew up in Harvey, Illinois, and received formal education at Marian Catholic High School in Chicago before attending DePaul University in Cook County, Illinois. 

Came Out as Gay on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon 

While performing his stand-up routine during his first appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in 2017, Jaboukie came out as queer. It was the first time he came out as queer -- something he had not even told his parents.

On his second appearance on the show in 2018, he clarified his statements and stated that he was determinably gay. 

Career

While studying at DePaul University, Young-White had his first taste of improvisational comedy with the collegiate comedy troupe, "The Titanic Players". Despite the opportunity being laid at his feet. Young-White dropped out to pursue a career in comedy.

He performed his first stand-up gig at 21 and hit the rounds of comedy clubs in and around the Chicago and NYC areas. He was a finalist at the NYC Devil Cup Stand Up Festival in 2016.

After coming out as gay in 2017, his career took off on a whole new level. That year, he played Borat in the black comedy film Rough Night. He also had appearances as Corey in the Emmy-nominated miniseries aka Wyatt Cenac.

In 2018, Young-White began writing for comedic shows like Big Mouth and American Vandal -- both on Netflix. In October later that year, he was hired as a correspondent on the Comedy Central late-night talk and satirical news program, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah

Besides that, Young-White has done voice-over work on the 2018 animated movie Ralph Breaks the Internet and the adult animated Netflix show BoJack Horseman.
