Ivonne Coll, a Puerto-Rican actress, is known best for appearing in several movies and TV series including The Godfather II, Scorcher, The Division and ER. She currently appears in the TV series Jane the Virgin alongside Gina Rodriguez, Andrea Navedo, Yael Grobglas and Justin Baldoni

Early life and education

Ivonne Coll was born on the 18th of June, 1947 in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. She was born as Ivonne Coll Mendoza. She attended the Nuestra Senora del Pilar School for her primary education. She later got enrolled in the Unversity of Puerto Rico from where she graduated with a degree in social sciences.

Career and Path

Ivonne Coll started her career as a fashion model. She represented Fajardo in the Miss Puerto Rico pageant and won the title. This led her to be a part of the Miss Universe pageant in 1966. On the very same year, she started acting. She started off with her very own show called A Girl named Ivonne Coll which ran its course from 1971 to 1975.

Ivonne Coll moved to the United States and learned dance and singing at the Academy of Stage and Cinema Arts. She participated in Off-Broadway productions including the likes of You Like It and Romeo and Juliet before receiving the role of Yolanda in The Godfather II.

Ivonne Coll has also appeared in the films like Lean on Me and Ornico. She has appeared on television series like An American Family, The Bold and the Beautiful, Malibu Shores and much more.

In her later years, Ivonne Coll appeared in Switched at Birth, Glee, and Teen Wolf. She is currently portraying the role of Jane Villaneuva in the CW comedy series Jane the Virgin.

Ivonne Coll has never been married. She has been focused on her career mostly in the past few years. She has no husband and is single till the date. She has never dated anyone.
