She then joined BBC in 2009.  She served as a host for BBC News Channel in the UK and BBC World News. During her service at BBC, she was the host of television news show, East Midlands Today.

Stirk later moved to Sky Sports in 2012 where she worked at studio presentation in London and also as a host. She served as a reporter for the Major championships, and also interviewed the world's best golfers.
