He began his culinary work under chef Daniel Boulud at Le Cirque,where he was called "Chef de Cuisine" since 1982 to 1987. Since the show started, he appeared often on Food Network's Chopped series as a judge with a s sociated restaurateurs Scott Conant, Chris Santos, Aarón Sánchez, Amanda Freitag, Marc Murphy, Maneet Chauhan, and Alex Guarnaschelli. Geoffrey made his appearance as a judge in the shows like Hell's Kitchen, Food Network's series 24 Hour Restaurant Battle, and Cutthroat Kitchen.
