Gloria Borger

Gloria Borger, an American political pundit, journalist, and columnist, is currently working for CNN. She previously contributed as an editor and columnist for U.S. News & World Report Magazine. She currently serves as a chief political analyst for CNN.  

Borger was the national political correspondent for CBS News. She moved to CNN in 2007 and started appearing in a variety of shows of the news source including The Situation Room.

In 2010, she was nominated for an Emmy Award for her piece The Odd Couple, profiling attorneys David Boies and Ted Olson.

Gloria Borger was born as Gloria Ann Borger on September 22, 1952, in New Rochelle, New York, United States. Her father owned an electrical appliances distribution company named Borger’s.

She spent most of her childhood in New Rochelle with her sibling Paula Borger. She pa s sed her high school from New Rochelle High School and then graduated from Colgate University in the year 1974.

Before becoming the Chief Political Analyst of CNN, she worked as a co-anchor on CNBC’s Capital Report and also appeared on CBS’s Face the Nation as well as 60 Minutes II.

In 1979, she went on to cover the Three Mile Island event. She then worked as a contributing editor and columnist for the US News and World Report Magazine. She was made the national political correspondent for CBS News.

She then joined CNN News in 2007 and within a year made herself recognized. She also covered the 2008 campaign trail and began appearing in many CNN shows. She made regular appearances on The Situation Room and also on the John King show.
